Cave Area (next to Chapel)
Experiencing a sick feeling in here, a mid forehead headache, the smell of sick and BO on entering this area.
Ian says there would have been people who died in here when debris fell on top of them, when digging out the cave. He also has a headache on his right side. He is also sensing a young male with us, aged around 5-6 years old.
I feel a cold draft to my leg area – knee level and below.
2 people in the group stand in the far back end of the cave, which is a very small area.
Chapel
I am also feeling sick in this area, as are a few of other group members. Some are experiencing a sick/dizzy feeling on the opposite side of the room (these people were sitting on the bench near to the exit area).
Ian is aware of an individual in here, someone who was on their last legs so to speak. He senses a plague like condition or infection, as opposed to a natural cause.
The room gives the feeling of moving up and down.
A stone falls from the ceiling very close to Keith, however this was the result of natural causes which were substantiated through reconstruction.
Ian feels itchy/dirty in this room.
Laundry Room/Women's Room
A few people in the group hear a gate closing type of sound. I do not personally experience this. There are some positive readings from the dowsing rods. The person using them asks if there is an Elizabeth in the room which is greeted with a yes via the rods.
I went to stand between the Women’s room and the Laundry room area. There was the slightly uneasy feeling of being watched, but nothing apparent. There was no movement in the Laundry. I was sat on a wooden chair in the laundry room for a while, but nothing to report.
There were some EMF fluctuations but this was due to radio activity.
Condemned Cell
Last time I came to the Galleries we were unable to come down to this area because of subsidence.
There was a chain moving on the wall but everyone was well away from it. However, there were cold breezes which I would say came from gaps in the door down there and would be a logical explanation for the same occurring.
There is a smell of what I can only describe as being likened to parma violet sweets and a wash powder smell, but this was not a carbolic smell. Apparently violet smells would have been quite common in the day as the smell would have acted as a mask for bad smells, especially with deceased bodies.
Quite a few people in the group, myself included, are experiencing headaches in this area – for me it was the middle forehead region again.
Rob is getting a tingling sensation, an apparent sign of energy. He senses that there is a lady who comes into this area. He also picks up on the possible death of a guard and he is also seeing a royal emblem. (Was there someone of great importance that had come into this area?)
I have the sensation of something around my neck, giving the feeling of difficulty in breathing.
One person in the group feels that someone is staring at them and there is a sense of transfiguration. There is a possibility that the person in days gone by may have sat in that position and that is what is being picked up on in here.
Keith feels the person would have been really tall. Another person is getting a sick smell.
Rob is also being shown the gallows and feels the person he is picking up on was hanged (outside of this area are the actual gallows in the courtyard where the supposed bodies are buried!)
Rob also goes on to say he is picking up on a famous prisoner, there is a sense of a multiple death count in relation to this person.
I experience a smell only likened to that smelt in the Falstaffs – a type of musty smell.
Transportation Block/Unit
The group is split into 2 in this area. One set with Keith and the glass. The other group comprises on Rob, myself and another female with the dowsing rods. I will concentrate on our group as follows.
Rob gets the date of 1842, he senses a male. He asks “do you know any of us”, the response is “yes” and the dowsing rods swing around to where I am standing.
He is also picking up on a little girl linked to me who appears to be around 5-6 years old.
Court
There wasn’t an awful lot in here to comment upon. I sat back on my own in the clock area – back of the Court. I have to honestly say that I felt quite comfortable. There were a few creaks but I just put this down to the wooden seating/flooring settling etc. There was a breathing registered on the Dictaphone but this is nowhere near my face, there is no-one else near me as they are predominantly down in the actual Court area (where the Judge is). I can only liken the sound to that if you take a deep breath in, exhale quickly – exhalation type of sound.
Main Lobby/Entrance
We conducted table tipping here which resulted in the table tilting at an angle. Keith, myself and one other person on the table took our hands off individually to prove it was not us tilting the table. The table at times got stuck in the floor ridges but we soon rectified this problem by moving it to a smoother area. Other people on the table also took their hands off to prove the above, this time the table was suspended at an angle.
Juror's Room
We decided to hold a circle in here. Keith and I experienced out right and left hands respectively (to where we were sat) raise which remained in that position for what seemed like an age. Usually arm ache would occur in you held your arms up in that position for any amount of time, however this did not happen and when Keith applied pressure to my hand to try and push it back down it would not physically lower and I wasn’t applying any pressure to try and counteract Keith. Also, as a mirror image to Keith and I in the group, one or 2 other members in the group also experienced the same thing. That was about everything that happened in this area.
Summary of Experiences – all groups/all areas
Laundry/Women's Room
The sense of being chained to a bed.
The name of Jeremy – a guard, not a nice individual, likes freaking people out.
Hearing people walking around in the Courtyard (there is only one way to get to that area.
Rods were very active.
Elderly lady imprisoned who appeared on the whole to be treated as a staff member, looking after the inmates – Elsa Simpson
Chapel/Cave
Male picked up on.
Very quiet, a few knocks and bangs.
Transfiguration.
Dead bodies stored i.e. like a makeshift morgue.
One eyed person.
Likeness to Burke & Hare (body snatchers).
Man on his knees who looked like he was digging.
Sickness and headaches.
Exercise Yard
Man picked up on that was buried there.
Rods used to locate where this was successfully (but would need to have clarified by someone who actually knows this).
Pitts
Seeing of a tall man.
Rob seeing 2 female group members as tall men, their whole bodies changed completely.
Violet and wash powder smell.
Foot steps heard.
Temperature drop (put down to natural draft from door).
Baldish man seen by some, energy changed and it was felt there was a need to protect the 2 female group members. The energy then appeared to follow the 2 female members around.
Ian Lawman saw an executionist and prisoner, haze like mist.
Transportation
The name of Dave was picked up by people using the glass.
