Country Furnishings
On entering this area I immediately picked up on a female presence, but said nothing to see if anyone else noticed.
22:22 p.m.
Temperature 18.7ºC
Someone heard a sound like a bee. Movement heard under the stairwell area. The temperature is now 18ºC. A few minutes later the temperature check registered at 18.7ºC. There is a drainage pipe in the corner of the room hear to the stairs, whether this would have any effect on the temperature could be the cause to this drop.
CJ sensed a female in the room and mentioned something about her putting her hand out and getting touched. Angel had some transfiguration, but I did not personally witness this for myself.
Another team member heard some foot steps but again, I did not personally hear these.
It is now beginning to feel cool around my legs, from the waist down and the temperature reading has again dropped to 18ºC at the stair well area, which then rises up to 18.6ºC, then goes down to 18ºC and then appears to settle around the 18.3-18.5ºC.
A few of us, myself included, heard a noise from the stair well area and it was not from the person sitting there, it was more in the corner again. Could this have been from the pipes? The sound could be likened to someone walking up/down the stairs, however no-one in the group were! There was also a sense of something close to the table and some people felt the floor vibrate. Unfortunately, I cannot verify this personally as I did not witness the same.
I also sensed something close to me but cannot explain what.
CJ picked up on the phrase “peek-a-boo” and a little boy. She went onto say that he cannot move the glass and it transpired that he was 7 years old. CJ then goes onto say that he is looking at all of the women in the group and asking “are you my mummy?”
A sigh is heard in the room by the majority of the group.
I get the name George but CJ is saying the boy is saying “that’s not my name”, but his name does begin with a “G”. It transpires he is called Gordon. The boy apparently goes onto say that “there is a bad man upstairs and for us not to go upstairs”. This man apparently chases the boy if he goes upstairs.
Upstairs
Apparently the boy is becoming distresses because Darren (in the group) went upstairs. He thought the atmosphere was heavy. Darren and I go to investigate the upstairs room in this section of the building i.e. above the furnishings room. Going up the stairs I get a tingly sensation in my legs. The temperature readings up here are between 18.7-19.4ºC. Apart from this not a lot happening in this area at this time.
John Boston Room/Ice House Area
23:50-00:20 a.m.
Temperature readings register between 16.5-17.4ºC
I personally do not sense much at this given time. CJ senses the little boy again. Nothing happening with the glass divination.
Some history was provided at this point as follows:
There was a 14 year old boy who died when he was working on a Sunday. He was murdered because back in the day it was against he law to work on a Sunday. – this would need researching into to see if any other facts can be ascertained to back this up.
There is a leaky roof in this room.
The light in the room opposite to where we currently are has gone out. It was confirmed that the lights are on a separate mains. Apparently this occurs with some regularity. This door is kept locked, we cannot access the same. I would personally look into wiring effects and perhaps faulty or damaged wiring in this instance to rule this possibility out for starters.
One male in our group is feeling sick in this room. I feel very uneasy, to the point of something being too close for comfort. Quite a few people in the room are now beginning to feel uncomfortable. There are no changes to the EMF meter placed on the table.
CJ quotes “I’ll slit you ear to ear – I’m not dead” – repeatedly. The name of Henry Broom was queried by Stuart in our group. Apparently Henry Broom was the last one to own the Hall and lost it is a card game and died in 1574. Apparently Henry Broom says “they cheated”. Henry Broom’s actions in this regard apparently destroyed the Broom family, resulting in the loss of the Hall, all the money which the Broom family earned and their title. There is only one Lord Broom left and he apparently lives somewhere in London. The man appears to have stomach problems – perhaps this is one of the reasons why he died – will try and research this particular area and post on here if I find anything further.
Temperature is now 17.2-18.1ºC. There is a feeling that this “spirit” is grounded because of the loss of the Hall, his wrath is not with us.
Someone in the group is experiencing a cold draft across their hands – could this be the result of the leaky roof and gaps of air filtering through that particular area? CJ feels there the little boy is close to Anna in the group because the boy’s mother was called Anne?
Henry Broom apparently had an affair with Ann which resulted in her subsequent murder, the boy being their child. There used to be a stable in or around the Adams rom. One of the male’s in our group say that Henry pushed Anne down a hay loft and that is why she didn’t come back for the boy… Henry was unaware that she was pregnant.
Temperature near the door area is 18ºC, near the stag it is 16.7ºC, near the curtain being used as the door it is 16.9ºC.
Apparently Anne was a maid to the people who won the Hall.
Scout Room
00:40-01:40 a.m.
Temperature 18-18.5ºC.
CJ says the boy is with us again. However here, it is mentioned that Anne fell down the stairs, she tried to hold on but Henry mad sure she fell. She asked Henry to pull her up but he didn’t, he just pulled each one of her fingers up until she fell?? This is contradictory to the previous account. Research really needs looking into, if any exists, to try and establish the cause of death in this instance.
I personally thought it was very quiet in this area, not a lot happening.
Stairwell leading to Scout Room/Corridor area
Extremely quiet in this area. No accounts.
Free Time - outside
02:00-02:35 a.m.
Investigating outside near where a stone Christ is lain on the floor and also the “sacrificial” stone table. Nothing to report here.
Free Time - John Boston Room
Myself, Stuart and one other gentleman decided to investigate this room further.
I experience my arm being almost numb, pins/needles, dead like.
We manage to get slight movement from the glass.
The room appears to have darkened somewhat, unlike the earlier time spent in this room. It’s almost like a blanket of darkness has descended, but there is no bad feeling about it.
There is a sound behind Stuart, almost breath like and also Stuart hears what he perceives to be a book movement. There are 2 loud breath sounds on the Dictaphone. None of us are making any of these sounds – they are very loud and there is nothing logical in the room which would explain the same.
Reiki Room
03:20-03:50 a.m. – Everyone involved in the investigation are now in this room.
Apparently there are known experiences witnessed in this room by the lady whose work space it belongs to. These have included watches stopping, batteries have drained quickly, when she was treating a client she sensed an icy breath on her neck, flashing lights, visible “orbs”. None of these activities were witnessed in this room during the vigil.
There is a dog bark sound on the Dictaphone.
There is nothing much happening in this room.
Phil divulges his computer game “skills” – but I am not sharing those, that is one for him to share!!!
