General Information
These caves are some 300ft underground and half a mile from the entrance. The inner temple – 300ft above our heads is the church, St. Lawrence’s church.
One thing to remember in this instance is that being that deep into a cave system, is that, perhaps, of the earth’s pull on a person’s senses; perceptions, natural wildlife, the loosening of things e.g. soil etc, any possible ley lines and that effect on people, natural dampness, groups in different areas i.e. sound travelling and of the mannequins down there.
Initial Walk Around
Temperature on entering the cave at 21:00 p.m. was 13.8ºC
Stewards Cave - 11ºC; Tool Store/Paul Whitehead’s cave 10ºC. Moving into left hand arch split of cave 10.3ºC, corridor taking right branch of the 2 split cave into Franklin’s cave is 10.8ºC. Rob picking up on tobacco smell, I was feeling sick. Rob picked up on the name of Tomlinson.
Banqueting Hall 11.4ºC, hearing footsteps. Heading down to triangle, working area 10.9ºC. 11ºC in the little bit where the Inner Temple is, where the bridge/running water is (stalactites). Inner Temple 10.8C (mannequins in this area).
Vigil 1 - Inner Temple
Temperature is registering at 10.8ºC.
There are drips of water apparent in this area. Someone heard movement behind the mannequin area, but I did not personally witness this. Another sound that some members of the group heard was likened to that of water dripping onto one of the mannequins – again, I did not hear this either. The name of Gefferson was put forward by one team member. (This name was from the Banqueting Hall). Trisha heard a scraping/scratching type of sound behind her. I did not personally witness this and was sat to the side of her. Some of the group heard a foot stomping on the ground, again I did not witness this.
Working Man/Tool Area
Temperature registering at 11.2ºC.
Asking out in this area for anything there to bang on the gates behind us. We did hear a noise, but I cannot personally identify what it was, or pin point where exactly it came from. Asking out again but nothing happened. I get the name of Joseph in this area. I am feeling slightly numb down the right hand side.
Split junction (just up from last area) – Franklin’s Cave(?)
Trisha was picking up on a robed figure, no names. Temperature is registering at 11.2-11.5ºC. To the side of us, Trisha heard some footsteps and she is not liking this area, particularly the corridor area. Someone in the group sees a little boy – I do not personally witness this. Trisha can also hear singing. I do not hear this. However, I do hear a swishing type of sound – almost like material of a long dress. None of us are moving in this area. End of this vigil 23:00 p.m.
Vigil 2 - Banqueting Hall
Temperature registering at 10.9ºC.
Tapping sounds are apparent, but I would personally put this down to dripping ceiling water. A white flash of light was seen in the corner by Trisha, not in the doorway and she also heard a sound likened to a stone – perhaps this could have been dislodged by the dripping water from the ceiling. Trisha is getting a pain in her chest like she cannot breathe. Trisha also hears a shuffling sound. Nothing much else to report in this area. Temperature reading is between 10.8-10.9ºC.
Inner Temple
I am experiencing lower back pain in this area. Someone mentioned something about 12 apostles and prostitutes. There is a cold breeze – possibly natural? There are no obvious spaces anywhere to produce this though. A tumbler was set up on the table, someone asked for it to be knocked over or moved. Nothing happens.
Rob was picking up on a male energy in this area in burgundy robes, the male is walking around lowering his head suggesting there is another male presence of higher status. There are grounded entities but there appear to be happy being there. There is also one make in black clothing.
Banqueting Hall
Rob mentions there are 6 chanting individuals here, in a procession or on the way.
A noise picked up on the Dictaphone I will liken to than of someone holding it close to their mouth and then breathing. I should mention here that the Dictaphone used is either hand held, by a strap around the wrist or it is placed on a surface (if available) in any given room. This sound happened twice in succession.
Main Entrance to Caves
A few people, myself included, were noticing a shadow going across the main entrance to the cave system. It is absolutely impossible to determine whether it was male or female. I should also point out that there was nothing apparent or obvious to move around thereby giving this effect i.e. trees etc.
