Unexplained mists, whistles, "orbs" and possible EVP's...
just a selection of things experienced at this location!
Billet 1 - (Shed)
The only way I can describe this billet is like the inside of a shed.
I did not personally experience anything in this area. However, on listening to the Dictaphone recordings after this vigil various things appear to have been recorded.
Firstly, there is the sound which I would liken to that of a hollow pen lid being flicked by something. At first I thought this could have been the laser thermometer protective lid, but on making further enquiries it would appear this is not to be the case. What caused this sound? I do not know.
Secondly, there is the sound of what appears to be a dog bark - this, coincidentally, followed more or less after the above sound...
Lastly, the sound of what appears to be that of a male saying "hello". Could this be EVP? The recording is extremely feint and could easily have been missed. It was not a member of the group...
Grain Store
00:32 a.m.
The temperature initially recorded in at -3 degrees, which fluctuated between -1.5 and -2 degrees.
There is a fan built into the ceiling area which kept speeding up then slowing down. There was no major breeze, it is a clear and bitterly cold night.
A whistle sound was heard on two separate occasions by the group, but it is not apparent where this could have come from.
In addition to this, a misty swirl was captured on camera by various members of the group. We were approximately 12ft away when the mist was captured on camera and we do not know what may have caused this… This would not be the last time the mist would be captured on camera...

Remaining in the Grain Store... the group hear a “chink” like sound in the building. Unfortunately this cannot be explained away by anything immediate.
Ben was experiencing a tingling sensation down his back and was subsequently blinded by everyone’s cameras!! I believe orb shapes were picked up near to him on this occasion.
Later on the tape there is what appears to be an extremely feint “male sounding voice” which seems to be a deep vocal sigh like a large breath in and then out take of breath followed by something which sounds like “look at the time” or “another time” – would have to check to see if this was picked up on CGI equipment or if anyone can remember saying anything like this, I do not personally recall anyone mentioning such words at this particular time of the vigil. It was extremely feint though…
The name George was picked up – I think by Nadine. Ben asked “George” to show himself to the group. Nothing happened.
Finally, a short while later on the tape, someone in the group picked up on a squeak sound. Again, this could not be explained by anything obvious in this vigil area. The only thing I could suggest here that it may come down to is possible wildlife in the area.
Billet 2
This is the place I personally felt uneasy in when we did the initial walk round but could not explain why.
My battery seemed to drain really quickly in this area – why? I do not know. It had been on charge for a couple of days prior to the vigil. I have never had this problem with a camera battery before on previous vigils.
When walking into this building the first room on the right with the cooker in felt uneasy and when moving through the building to the rear, the left hand room, long room. When returning to this building later in the night, the uneasy feeling did not seem apparent as it had done earlier. It was only when we left the building that I felt the need to get out quickly – the uneasy feeling had returned.
I picked up on the name “Joseph” in the room to the right hand side of the building..
An occasional cold draft was experienced, but this was put down to broken window panes and the door in this building. A noise was heard, but this was put down to possible wildlife i.e. rat or mouse – evidenced by droppings…

Grain Store (return to)
“Orbs” were being captured on camera. When I asked out if anyone was in the building with us to “make yourself known to us” and to “give us a sign” there appeared to be a light whistle type of sound picked up on the Dictaphone.
More mist type pictures being captured but not as distinct as the original mist.
I thought I had heard a footstep/shuffle and turned in the direction it came from. At the time we were all stationary! Unfortunately, on asking whether Paul and Ben had heard anything, they said that they had not.
Again questions were asked as to whether anyone was there with us and if they were would they tell us their name – a sound on the Dictaphone resembling the name “Jim” appears to be recorded! Again, this was quite feint.
