Peterborough Museum with Phil Whyman
10th May 2008
Moon Phase:   Waxing Crescent 32% of Full
                  Geo.Mag Field:   Quiet
                Solar X-Rays:   Unknown
Base Room
Base room temperature:   22-23 degrees centigrade
Outside temperature:   25 degrees centigrade

Whilst everyone had gone on the walk round/history tour, I waited in the base room so as not to hear anything about this venue.   Whilst waiting, I picked up on a male with a handlebar moustache (one of those which curl up and around on the face), a helmet, colonel and late in age.
Vigil 1:   First Floor 22:30 p.m. - 23:10 p.m. (with Vince)
Temperature:   24 degrees centigrade
Windows:   Open

Coming up through the main door before going into the side room I felt sick.

Our group proceeds into the "Peterborough's First People" room.   Nothing much being sensed or picked up on in here personally at this stage of the evening (refer to free time later on)...

Someone felt a cool breeze, however suffice to say there was a window open and a fan on, so that would be the logical explanation for this.

The group then proceeded to split into sections in this room and the opposite room (Geological - dinosaur room).

I decided to venture down the corridor to the right and where the old antiquated shop was.   Temperature here was 22.9-23 degrees centigrade.   The temperatures fluctuate between 22.6-22.8 degrees centigrade in here.   There is nothing specific in this area to cause such fluctuation.   I do not sense or pick anything up in this area.

I then proceed to the Geological room - again, nothing sensed or picked up on in here by me personally.   The temperature in this area is 23.8-24 degrees centigrade.

Nothing is detected in the shop area or Geological areas on either the EMF or dictaphone.   However, in the first room the EMF fluctuated to the second green light.
Second Floor - 23:40 p.m. - 00:30 a.m. (with Sara)
We covered 3 areas on this section of the invo.

The first room we went into had air conditioning, so no readings could be taken for the obvious reasons.   This was a military type display room.   Nothing happening in here.

The second area was the Natural History room.   The temperature was a constant 23.2-23.3 degrees centigrade.   Unfortunately, nothing happened in here.   No recordings on either the EMF or dictaphone.

The third area was the "operating room".   This looked more like an archaeological room for cleaning up items found by an excavation.   Just on entering this area there is a side bit which gave home to a coffin!   Again, nothing picked up on in here.   No EMF/dictaphone recordings.
Coffin!
Cellar - 00:45 a.m. - 01:40 a.m. (with Phil)
Temperature registering in at 17.2-17.3 degrees centigrade in the corridor, the end room was 16 degrees centigrade.   Not an awful lot happening in this area with the group.

Myself, Phil and Stu went into one of the side rooms, first one off the main cellar area.   Temperature reading in here started at 16.5-16.7 degrees centigrade, rising to 17.   Nothing detected in this area.   However, information relative to this area was picked up on by myself later in the evening in a different area (see free time).

Nothing on EMF/dictaphone.
Free Time - 02:00 a.m. - 02:50 a.m.
Top Floor right to the end of the fire escape door, back staircase
Temperature registering between 21.9 and 22.1 degrees centigrade at the side of Janice, she was feeling cold down both sides.   A few people in our group felt as though we were being watched from the top banister area of the stairs (to the left as you look up) - was this a psychological perspective i.e. you know people look over banisters etc?

Whilst undertaking this part of the investigation, 2 people came through the door and just prior to this both Janice and I felt that there was something at the top of the stairs before said people came through.   However, once the door had been opened, it was almost like whatever had been there just disappeared out of the way, almost like a quick exit (that's the only way I can describe it) - however, going back to my aforementioned comment above, was this a psychological aspect???

We then moved to the first floor - Peterborough's First People room.

Initially I didn't think anything would be picked up on.   However, after some time being in the room, I sensed a female nurse, the name Edith and felt that the Museum had, at sometime in the past, been a Hospital and that the cellar had been used as a mortuary.   The female I thought was an older lady, not of old age pensioner age, but maybe approaching that age.   (All these factors were confirmed at the end of the evening's events by Stu!)

Nothing was detected on EMF/dictaphone.
Ground Floor - 03:00 a.m. - 03:50 a.m. (with Tim)
The temperature in here was 22.2 degrees centigrade.   I didn't personally feel there was a lot happening in here, nothing being sensed by me personally.

Other members of the group did glass divination as follows.   After a few questions by Tim, it was established that a male called Francis was allegedly communicating with the group via the glass as follows:

Q.   Do you know Edith?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Is Edith an elderly lady?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Do you know Tim from the cellar?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Do you still hate women?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Did you work in the cellar?
A.   No response.

Q.   Did you work in the mortuary?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Have I (meaning me) ever worked in a mortuary?
A.   No response.

Q.   Do you think it is a man's job?
A.   Yes.

The next stage of questioning was to determine his age.   The group eventually reached age 37.

Q.   Are you married?
A.   No.

Q.   Do you not like women for a reason?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Did women treat you badly?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Did your mother treat you badly?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Was Edith your mother?
A.   No response.

Q.   Was Edith a relation to you?
A.   No.

Q.   So you knew her?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Was it the case that you liked her but she didn't like you?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Did you hate the person she liked more than you?
A.   Yes.

The group then tried to determine the name of the man she liked.   It was established that it was L and the rest of the questions went as follows:

Q.   Was L the first letter of his name?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Was E the second letter?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Is his name Lee?
A.   No.

Q.   Is his name Leo?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Did you hate Leo?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Did Leo work here?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Did Leo work in the mortuary?
A.   No.

Q.   Was Leo better looking than you?
A.   No response.

Q.   Were you better looking than Leo?
A.   No response.

Q.   Did you have a scar?
A.   No response.

Q.   Tim asked whether he remembered him asking for Francis in the cellar?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Do you want anyone to leave?
A.   No.

Q.   Do you want us all to stay?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Do you like the cellar?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Is it your place?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Did you like it in the cellar?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Was it quiet?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Was it "dead" quiet (sarcastic)?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Did you enjoy your job?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Did you ever see a monk down there?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Do you ever speak to this monk?
A.   No response.

Q.   Did the monk scare you?
A.   No response.

Q.   Did you know the monk?
A.   No response.

Q.   Was the monk dead?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Did you not like the monk?
A.   No (did not like).

Q.   Does the monk still go to the cellar now?
A.   Yes.

Q.   Is there a cat in the cellar?
A.   No response.

Q.   Are you still with us?
A.   Yes.

The group then tried to establish when Francis worked at this place.   It was eventually established through a lot of questions that it was 1891.

The group then tried to establish when he stopped working there.   Eventually it transpired that this was 1930.

The question was then asked whether Francis had died or stopped working there in 1930.   The answer came back as yes, unfortunately as the question was a double question, I cannot determine what the yes refers to in this instance.

Nothing was detected on EMF/dictaphone.
End of Evening
At the end of the investigation I asked Stu about the male I had picked up on right at the beginning of the evening.   He said that it may be John Whitstead, he's one of their "pop backs" and he was in the army.

I also asked (as already commented on in "Free Time" above about Edith etc.   He said that Edith could be related to a nurses name and is associated with the building.   Yes, the place was a Hospital, Yes the cellar was used as a mortuary...
